Darla Linville is a Ph.D. candidate in the Urban Education department at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is currently working on her dissertation, tentatively titled, “Resisting Regulation: Teens and the discourses of sexuality and gender in secondary schools.” She is working with a group of teen participant researchers to archive the discourses deployed by schools and to understand teens’ interactions with these discourses as they negotiate the creation of their sexual and gender subjectivity.
